Rufous-vented Tit

The Rufous-vented Tit (Lioparus chrysotis) is a small passerine bird found in the eastern Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its distinctive rufous-vent and yellow underparts. This species inhabits montane forests and bamboo thickets, often foraging in mixed-species flocks. Rufous-vented Tits are known for their acrobatic foraging behavior, often hanging upside down to glean insects from foliage. They also feed on seeds and berries. This species is generally non-migratory and forms monogamous breeding pairs. The Rufous-vented Tit is not currently considered to be globally threatened, and its population trend is believed to be stable.
