Rufous-winged Antshrike, Thamnophilus torquatus, is a passerine of the antbird family found in south-east Amazonia, eastern Brazil and north-east Paraguay. It was described by Swainson in 1825. The species is part of the Thamnophilidae and is monotypic. It lives in the understorey of cerrado and nearby semi-deciduous woodland, and also uses brushy gallery forest and second growth, including overgrown pastures and plantations. Its range extends through Brazil into eastern Bolivia and eastern Paraguay. It is a year-round resident across its range.
