The Rufous-winged Antwren (Clytoctantes alixii) is a small passerine bird found in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil. It is known for its distinctive rufous wings and a black crown. The male has a black throat and chest, while the female has a cinnamon-brown throat and chest. This species forages for insects and spiders in the lower and middle levels of the forest, often joining mixed-species flocks. The Rufous-winged Antwren is highly territorial during the breeding season, and its song consists of high-pitched notes. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, this species faces threats, and its conservation status is currently listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN.
