Alcippe fratercula
The Rufous-winged Fulvetta (Alcippe fratercula) is a small, lively bird found in the mountainous regions of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its olive-brown upperparts, rufous wings, and pale underparts. This species is known for its melodious and varied calls, often heard as it forages in mixed-species flocks. Rufous-winged Fulvettas inhabit dense undergrowth in broadleaf evergreen forests, often at elevations between 800 and 2000 meters. They feed on insects, small fruits, and seeds. While the conservation status of this species is currently unknown, habitat loss and fragmentation are potential threats to its population.
