Rufous Wren Cinnycerthia unirufa is a bird of the Troglodytidae family in South America, with a breeding range from Venezuela and Colombia to Peru. It lives in montane tropical moist forest, especially in dense undergrowth. The species is mainly associated with northern Andean areas. Birds from most of Colombia and Ecuador are dark chestnut-brown overall, with faint blackish barring on the wings and tail and blackish lores. Those from northeastern Colombia and Venezuela are a little paler, particularly on the crown.
