The Rufous Wren (Troglodytes rufulus) is a small songbird found in the forests and woodlands of Central and South America. It is known for its distinctive rufous plumage and melodious song. This wren species is often observed foraging for insects and small invertebrates in the dense undergrowth, using its slender bill to probe for food. The Rufous Wren constructs domed nests from twigs and grasses, often hidden within dense vegetation. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential challenges to its long-term survival.
