This species is characterized by its olive-green plumage, with a yellowish belly and a subtle black and white pattern on its wings. Ruki's Warbler forages for insects and small invertebrates in the thick vegetation, using its slender bill to pick off prey from leaves and branches. Although not much is known about its population trends, the species is believed to be of least concern according to the IUCN Red List.
