Rusty-breasted Wren-Babbler Gypsophila rufipectus is a bird of the montane forests of western Sumatra in Indonesia, within the Oriental Region. It belongs to the family Pellorneidae and was described by Salvadori in 1879. Endemic to Sumatra, it is associated with moist forest habitats, including both lowland and montane types in subtropical or tropical conditions. Its range is limited to the western part of the island, where it occurs in the mountains.
