The Rusty-capped Fulvetta (Paradoxornis bakeri) is a small bird species found in the mountainous regions of China. It is characterized by its olive-brown upperparts, a distinctive rusty cap, and a whitish throat and underparts. These birds are often found in mixed-species flocks, foraging for insects and small invertebrates in dense undergrowth and bamboo thickets. They are known for their melodious calls and active, gregarious behavior. The Rusty-capped Fulvetta is a common resident in its range, but its habitat is threatened by deforestation and habitat degradation. As a result, its conservation status is currently listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN.
