Rusty-faced Parrot, Hapalopsittaca amazonina, is a parrot of Colombia and north-west Venezuela, with its breeding range in South America. It belongs to the family Psittacidae and was described by des Murs in 1845. The species is best known for the rusty-toned face that gives it its name. It occurs in the Eastern Andes of Colombia and the far west of Venezuela, while a separate form is found in the Western and Central Andes of Colombia and in north-west Venezuela. It lives mainly in very wet cloudforest, and only small elevational movements are known.
