Rusty-faced Tit

Abroscopus schisticeps

The Rusty-faced Tit (Abroscopus schisticeps) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the eastern Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its distinctive rusty face and olive-green upperparts. This species inhabits dense undergrowth and bamboo thickets in montane forests, where it forages for insects and spiders. The Rusty-faced Tit is known for its high-pitched, repetitive calls that echo through its mountainous habitat. Although not currently assessed, the conservation status of this species may be of least concern due to its wide distribution and presumed large population.
