Larvivora komadori (Temminck, 1835)

Ryukyu Robin, Larvivora komadori, is a passerine of the Muscicapidae family that breeds in the Ryukyu Islands of southern Japan, from the south-west Kyushu islets and the Tokara Islands through Amami Oshima to Tokunoshima, with non-breeding birds reaching the southern Ryukyu Islands. It is endemic to this island chain. The species was described by Temminck in 1835. It was once grouped with the Japanese Robin and the European Robin in Erithacus, but is now placed in Larvivora, alongside the Japanese Robin and the Siberian Blue Robin.
