Sacred Ibis

The Sacred Ibis is a large wading bird with a distinctive long, downward-curved bill and black head and neck. Its body is white, and it has black wingtips and tail. This species is known for its association with ancient Egyptian culture, often depicted in art and mythology. Sacred Ibises are highly adaptable and can be found in a variety of wetland habitats, including marshes, lakes, and rivers. They are opportunistic feeders, consuming a diverse diet that includes insects, small vertebrates, and plant matter. The Sacred Ibis is considered a species of Least Concern by the IUCN, with stable populations in many parts of its range.
