Salinas Monjita
Neoxolmis salinarum (Nores & Yzurieta, 1979)

Salinas Monjita, Neoxolmis salinarum, is a passerine in the tyrant flycatcher family and is found in north-central Argentina. It is restricted to saline ground with scrubby vegetation in Salinas Grandes and Salinas de Ambargasta, where several provinces meet, and there are further records from Mendoza, La Rioja, San Luis and San Juan. It is a resident bird, though some seasonal movement may happen. It is locally uncommon to fairly common. The species was described in 1979 and is monotypic.
