Salmon-crested Cockatoo, Cacatua moluccensis, is a cockatoo of Seram in the eastern Moluccas, where it breeds in Australasia. It is one of the larger white cockatoos, and the female is a little smaller than the male. The bird has pale plumage with a soft pinkish wash, a hint of yellow beneath the wings and tail, and a broad crest that lies flat until raised. When lifted, it shows vivid red-orange feathers. It lives in lowland forest below 1,000 metres and feeds mainly on seeds, nuts, fruit and coconuts.
