Salvadorina waigiuensis
Salvadori's fantail is a small passerine bird found in the rainforests of Waigeo Island in Indonesia. It is known for its distinctive fan-shaped tail and agile, acrobatic flight. The species is characterized by its striking black and white plumage, with a black head and upperparts, and white underparts. It forages for insects and small invertebrates in the dense undergrowth of the forest, often flicking its tail from side to side as it moves. Salvadori's fantail is typically found in the lower and middle levels of the forest, where it flits and darts among the foliage in search of prey.
