Samoan Myzomela, Myzomela nigriventris, is a passerine honeyeater found in Samoa on Savaii, Upolu and Tutuila. It lives in moist lowland forest and mangrove forest, and also visits places with flowers, including gardens. The male has black plumage with a bright red head and breast. The female is brownish-olive, with scattered red on the lower rump and back. It has a long, curved bill suited to reaching into flowers for nectar.
