Samoan Whistler, Pachycephala flavifrons, is a bird of the Pacific Ocean islands of Savaii, Upolu and Nu-utele in western Samoa, central Polynesia. It belongs to the Pachycephalidae family and was first described by Peale in 1849. The male is set apart by blacker upperparts, yellow or white on the forehead, a dull black throat heavily marked with yellow or white, and the absence of a black chest-band. The female is a less vivid version of the male and has a pale grey throat.
