Alaudala raytal
The Sand Lark (Alaudala raytal) is a small, ground-dwelling bird found in open sandy habitats across parts of Asia and the Middle East. This species is known for its distinctive streaked brown plumage, short bill, and long hind claw. Sand Larks are highly adapted to their arid environments, using their cryptic coloration to blend into the sandy surroundings and relying on their strong, undulating flight to evade predators. They are often observed foraging for insects and seeds on the ground, utilizing their keen eyesight and agile movements to capture prey. Despite facing threats from habitat degradation and human disturbance, the Sand Lark continues to persist in its specialized niche.
