Sangihe Hanging Parrot, Loriculus catamene, is a parrot of Sangihe in the north-east of Sulawesi, within Australasia. It belongs to the family Psittaculidae and was described by Schlegel in 1871. This arboreal species is confined to the small island of Sangihe. It is mainly green, with red on the throat, rump, elongated upper tail-coverts and the end of the tail. Its range is very limited, and the island has seen extensive forest loss and fragmentation.
