Santa Marta Bush-Tyrant

The Santa Marta Bush-Tyrant is a small, insectivorous bird found in the Santa Marta Mountains of Colombia. It has a distinctive black and white plumage with a bright yellow patch on its crown. This species is known for its agile and acrobatic foraging behavior, often seen catching insects in mid-air. The Santa Marta Bush-Tyrant inhabits montane forests and shrublands, typically found at elevations between 1,800 and 3,000 meters. Despite its limited range, this species is not currently considered to be at immediate risk, although ongoing habitat loss and degradation may pose future threats.
