Santa Marta Mountain Tanager, Anisognathus melanogenys, is a bird of the Santa Marta Mountains in Colombia, where it is confined to highland forest. It belongs to the tanager family, Thraupidae, within the order Passeriformes. It is also called the black-cheeked mountain tanager. The species is closely allied to the lacrimose mountain tanager, a more widespread bird, but the two occur in separate ranges and do not meet. It was described by Salvin and Godman in 1880.
