The Santa Marta Warbler (Myiothlypis basilica) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the highland forests of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia. It has a distinctive olive-green plumage with a yellow belly and a black mask around its eyes. This warbler is known for its melodious and varied song, which it uses to communicate and defend its territory. It forages for insects and small invertebrates in the dense undergrowth of the cloud forests. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the Santa Marta Warbler faces threats to its population, and its conservation status is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
