These doves are often found foraging on the forest floor for seeds, fruits, and small invertebrates. They are known for their distinctive mournful cooing calls that echo through the dense vegetation. The Sapphire Quail-Dove is a shy and elusive bird, making it a sought-after sighting for birdwatchers and researchers.
