Savai'i bush warbler

Aegotheles savesi

The Savai'i bush warbler is a small, secretive bird found in the dense undergrowth of the forests of Savai'i, the largest island in Samoa. It has a distinctive high-pitched song that is often heard at dawn and dusk. This species is well adapted to its forest habitat, with its mottled brown plumage providing excellent camouflage. It forages on the forest floor for insects and small invertebrates. The Savai'i bush warbler is a vital part of the ecosystem, contributing to insect control and serving as an indicator of forest health.
