Scaly Chatterer, Argya aylmeri, is a passerine in the Leiothrichidae family, found in north-eastern and eastern Africa, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Tanzania. It lives in subtropical or tropical dry shrubland. Shelley described it in 1885. It was once placed in Turdoides, but a 2018 molecular study led to its transfer to Argya. It is also called the bare-eyed babbler.
