Scarlet-browed Tanager, Heterospingus xanthopygius, is a passerine in the family Thraupidae, the tanagers and allies. It occurs in Middle America and South America, with a breeding range from Panama to north-west Ecuador. It was described by P. L. Sclater in 1855.
