Scarlet-chested Parrot, Neophema splendida, is a parrot of inland southern Western Australia, south-western Northern Territory and central South Australia. It was described by Gould in 1841. The male is marked by a bright blue face, a scarlet chest and yellow underparts set against green plumage, while the female has a similar appearance without the red chest. It is also known as the scarlet-breasted parrot, orange-throated parrot or splendid parrot.
