Schlegel's Asity, Philepitta schlegeli, is a bird of north-west and west-central Madagascar in the family Philepittidae. It is found in subtropical or tropical dry forest and in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. Endemic to Madagascar, it is restricted to that island. Its presence in these forest habitats is the key feature given here, along with its limited range.
