Schuett's Turaco

Schuett's Turaco is a medium-sized bird found in the montane forests of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is known for its vibrant plumage, featuring a combination of green, red, and white feathers. This species is characterized by its distinctive crest and red beak. Schuett's Turaco is primarily frugivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits and occasionally insects. Its call is a series of deep, resonant hoots. Due to its restricted range and habitat loss, the conservation status of Schuett's Turaco is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
