Phyllomyias sclateri
Sclater's Tyrannulet (Phyllomyias sclateri) is a small passerine bird found in the Andean region of South America. This species is known for its olive-green upperparts, yellowish underparts, and a distinctive wing pattern. It inhabits montane forests and cloud forests, often foraging in the mid to upper levels of the canopy for insects and small invertebrates. Sclater's Tyrannulet is characterized by its energetic and acrobatic foraging behavior, frequently sallying out to catch prey in flight. The species is relatively common within its range, but like many Andean birds, it may face habitat loss and degradation. Its conservation status is currently categorized as Least Concern by the IUCN.
