See-see Partridge, Ammoperdix griseogularis, is a pheasant in the order Galliformes and breeds across dry parts of the Palearctic from south Turkey and north Syria through Iran and Afghanistan to sub-Himalayan Pakistan, with local breeding in north Saudi Arabia, south Armenia, Uzbekistan and south-east Turkmenistan. It lives in open, often hilly country and is a resident breeder there. Its most useful field mark is the male’s head pattern, with a grey head, a dark line through the eye and a pale cheek patch. The female is much less strongly marked.
