Seram Boobook, Ninox squamipila, is an owl of the family Strigidae found in Australasia on Seram in the Moluccas. It is also known from Kelang and Ambon. It lives in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. The bird is part of a group once treated as one wider Moluccan boobook, but now recognised separately. It is noted for loud calls in the early evening. Its prey includes wild rats and snakes.
