Seychelles Black Parrot, Coracopsis barklyi, is a parrot of Praslin and Curieuse in the Seychelles, with breeding centred on Praslin and formerly recorded on Aride and Marianne. It lives in woodland, scrubland and gardens, and its main nesting area on Praslin is tied to mature palm forest. The bird is dark grey-brown overall, with greyish undertail-coverts and a bill that lightens in the breeding season. It nests in deep hollows in old trunks with shelter, laying 1-3 eggs. Its food includes fruit, flowers and buds, from wild palms and cultivated crops.
