Seychelles Parakeet, Psittacula wardi, was an extinct parakeet of the inner Seychelles in the Indian Ocean, recorded from Silhouette, Mahé and Praslin. It belonged to the Psittaculidae family and was described by Newton in 1867. A long-tailed forest bird, it also used cultivated ground as native woodland was cleared. The male had a green body, blue on parts of the head, a dark cheek stripe, a yellowish underside, a purple-red wing patch, and a bill in red and yellow. The female lacked the cheek marking, and the young were like her. Fruit was part of its diet.
