Sharp-tailed Grass Tyrant, Culicivora caudacuta, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family that breeds in South America from western Bolivia through central Brazil to northern Argentina. It is a local bird of grasslands, including cerrado, savanna, and wetter native grassland, and it is often seen close to marshes and small watercourses. It is a year-round resident. The tail is strongly stepped, with stiff central feathers and worn outer webs that give it a distinctive shape. It also occurs in Paraguay and Uruguay.
