Apalis sharpii
Sharpe's Apalis is a small passerine bird found in eastern Africa. It has a distinctive grey head and upperparts, with a white throat and underparts. The wings and tail are dark brown, and it has a short, slender bill. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard in the dense undergrowth of coastal and montane forests. Sharpe's Apalis forages for insects and spiders in the canopy and mid-levels of the forest, using its agile and acrobatic movements to capture prey. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation are potential future threats to this species.
