Lamprotornis shelleyi (Sharpe, 1890)
Shelley's Starling, Lamprotornis shelleyi, is a starling of the family Sturnidae that occurs in East Africa. Its breeding range runs from Ethiopia and Somalia into northern Kenya and south-eastern South Sudan, and it reaches northern Tanzania outside the breeding season. The name honours George Ernest Shelley, an English ornithologist and the nephew of Percy Bysshe Shelley. It was described by Sharpe in 1890.
