Short-tailed Drongo, Dicrurus striatus, is a passerine of the family Dicruridae found in the eastern and southern Philippines, including East Visayas and the Mindanao group. It lives in tropical moist lowland forest and reaches up to 1,500 metres above sea level. It is set apart from related drongos by its short tail, smaller build and less glossy plumage. Two subspecies are recognised, one on Basilan and Mindanao and the other on Bohol, Leyte, Biliran and Samar, where it shows a shorter tail and weaker spangling.
