Short-tailed Paradigalla, Paradigalla brevicauda, is a bird-of-paradise that breeds in montane western and central New Guinea. It lives in the New Guinea Highlands forests and is set apart from the long-tailed paradigalla by its shorter tail feathers, smaller size and absence of red on the wattles. The sexes look much alike, though the female is smaller and has less vivid plumage and smaller wattles. It was described by Rothschild and Hartert in 1911.
