Perisoreus infaustus (Linnaeus, 1758)

Siberian Jay Perisoreus infaustus is a bird of the boreal conifer forests of northern Eurasia, breeding across the Palearctic from Scandinavia through Russia and Siberia. It is the smallest western Palearctic corvid, and its plumage is mainly grey-brown with a darker brown crown, a paler throat, and rusty-red on the wing-bend, undertail coverts and tail sides. The sexes look alike. It lives in dense, mature forest with a closed canopy, especially spruce woods, and is a resident species in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and China.
