Siberian Thrush

Geokichla sibirica

The Siberian Thrush is a medium-sized bird found in the forests and woodlands of Siberia and northern China. It has a distinctive appearance with a dark olive-brown upper body, pale underparts, and a white eye ring. During the breeding season, the male Siberian Thrush sings a melodious and flute-like song to attract a mate. This species primarily feeds on insects, berries, and fruits. It builds its nest in trees and shrubs, and the female typically lays a clutch of 4-5 eggs. The Siberian Thrush is known for its migratory behavior, traveling long distances to winter in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
