Sichuan Tit

Poecile weigoldicus (Kleinschmidt, 1921)

Sichuan Tit, Poecile weigoldicus, is a bird of the tit family in western and south-western China. It breeds in Sichuan, south-eastern Qinghai and north-western Yunnan. It was once treated as a race of the Willow Tit, but a genetic study published in 2002 led to its recognition as a separate species. It has no recognised subspecies. Its recorded habitats include coniferous, mixed and mature deciduous forests, woodland edges, scrub, and urban parks and gardens, from sea level up to 4,275 m.
