Mionectes roraimae (Chubb, C, 1919)

Sierra de Lema Flycatcher, Mionectes roraimae, is a tyrant flycatcher of humid forest in southern and south-eastern Venezuela, western Guyana and north-central Brazil. It lives on tepui foothills and slopes, especially where sandy ground, rocks and boulders occur, and it is a year-round resident. The bird was first described in 1919 by Chubb. It is monotypic. Its range in Venezuela is mainly between 700 and 2,000 m, with records lower down, and in Brazil it is known from 350 to 1,800 m.
