Sierran Elaenia, Elaenia pallatangae, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that breeds in South America from Colombia to Bolivia. It lives in humid montane forest, especially along scrubby margins and rocky clearings, and also uses brushy pasture and secondary growth. In the Andes it is a resident bird throughout the year. It is a small elaenia without a crest, and the sexes look alike. The nominate form has olive upperparts, yellowish facial markings, pale underparts and two pale wing bars, while the other subspecies show stronger yellow below.
