Sikkim Treecreeper

Certhia discolor Blyth, 1845

Sikkim Treecreeper, Certhia discolor, is a bird of the treecreeper family found in Nepal, Tibet and north-east India. It belongs to Passeriformes and was described by Blyth in 1845. Its breeding range lies in the Oriental Region. It lives in temperate forests and in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, especially broadleaf and mixed woodland. A form from southern Manipur and south-western Burma has a rich cinnamon throat and breast, and is now usually treated as the separate Hume's treecreeper, Certhia manipurensis.
