Silver-eared Laughingthrush Trochalopteron melanostigma is a passerine in the family Leiothrichidae, the laughingthrushes and allies. It breeds in the Oriental Region, in eastern and south-eastern Myanmar, northern and north-western Thailand, north-eastern and central Laos, south-western Yunnan, and north-western Vietnam. It was described by Blyth in 1855.
