Oriolus steerii
The Silver Oriole (Oriolus steerii) is a medium-sized bird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It is known for its striking appearance, with a glossy silver plumage, black wings, and a distinctive yellow patch on its wings. This species is known for its melodious and flute-like song, often heard echoing through the forest canopy. Silver Orioles are primarily insectivorous, foraging for insects and small invertebrates in the dense foliage. They are known to be shy and elusive, often staying hidden within the dense vegetation. Due to habitat loss and deforestation, the Silver Oriole faces threats to its population.
