Silvery-throated Spinetail, Synallaxis subpudica, is a bird of the Eastern Andes in Colombia, where it lives in montane forest edges, scrub, cloudforest margins and regenerating clearings. It is a year-round resident in its range. The sexes look alike, and adults show a greyish brown face with a narrow pale cinnamon eyebrow, a grey throat with darker mottling and a blackish centre, and a very long tail with a spiny look from bare feather tips. Juveniles have a grey crown. It was described by Sclater, PL, 1874.
