Progne sinaloae
The Sinaloa Martin is a small swallow species found in western Mexico. It has a distinctive dark plumage with a slightly forked tail. These birds are often found near water bodies such as rivers, streams, and marshes where they catch insects on the wing. They are highly social and often form large flocks during the non-breeding season. The Sinaloa Martin is known for its agile flight and acrobatic aerial displays as it hunts for insects. Although not much is known about their breeding habits, they are believed to nest in cavities or crevices in cliffs or buildings.
